Please remember your number, as we are planing to label the seats (according to the number order and the number written on your diplom) eg. My number is 63, diplom number is 063.


Oath taker is number 32, female slideshow destroyer is number 29. (just in case if you want to know) :)



p.s. The red diplom holders will still retain the number, because Olga already wrote it in your diplom. So eg. Lee Yan Han, no. 72, and her seat number will be no.72 although she'll be sitting the 1st row.

Price for transport that day is Free of Charge for 38 of us (6th years Malaysian Students), but 100ru for all your guests (parents, relatives and friends).

СОДЕРЖАНИЕ ПРОГРАММЫ

08.30 Подготовка к вечеру
Представители оргкомитета и помощники приступают к подготовке зала (тестирование проекторов, звуковой системы)

09.00-09.30 приезд родителей
Родители прибывают в период между 10.00 – 10.30. На регистрации родителям будет предоставлена брошюра с информацией о выпускном дне и номер места, помощник покажет путь к лестнице и они поднимутся в зал.

09.45 видео-шоу
Ожидая прибытия VIP персон, в течение 15 минут видео-шоу (фото из жизни, фото во время учебы).

10.00 Прибытие высокопоставленных лиц
Ведущий церемонии объявляет прибытие высокопоставленных лиц. Студенты и гости будут стоять, в то время как высокопоставленные лица входят в зал. Помощники укажут высокопоставленным лицам места в зале. Прибыв на свои места, музыка прекращается и гости также занимают места в зале.

10.10 видео-шоу про РГМУ

10.20 Выступление высокопоставленных лиц
Ведущий церемонии предложит ректору РГМУ, академику РАМН, профессору Николай Николаевичу Володину пройти к трибуне и сказать несколько слов в адрес выпускников. Далее, ведущий церемонии приглашает начальник отдела по обучению иностранных граждан доцент Георгий Николаевич Беспалюк, Доктора Самана Вирасинке и других высокопоставленных лиц (послы, представители посольств) сказать несколько слов.

ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ: ведущий церемонии переводит выступления на русский язык (или на английский).

10.45 Выступление студентов из разных стран
Ведущий церемонии предлагает 2 студентам из разных стран выступить:
1. Огунлана Виктория (Нигерия) Жен.
2. Танг Раи Йанк (Малайзия) Муж.
Первая студентка выступает на русском языке, а второй на английском языке. Перевод их выступления будет проецироваться на экране.

11.00 Клятва
Ведущий церемонии приглашает представителя студентов (Джаясвал Анимеш - Индия) зачитывать клятву Гиппократа. Все студенты будут стоять с поднятой правой рукой. Студенты не повторяют клятву, а лишь говорят: "КЛЯНУСЬ".

11.10 -торжественное мероприятие – вручение дипломов;
Ведущий церемонии приглашает Козлову Ольгу Константинова подойти на сцену. Ольга Константинова объявляет фамилии студентов, Ректор вручает дипломы. Декан стоит рядом с ректором, передаёт дипломы от Козловой О. К. ректору.
Первые 7 студентов - это студенты, получающие Красный Диплом. За ними следуют все остальные в алфавитном порядке.
Когда Ольга Константинова вызывает студента, на слайд-шоу он будет показан на экране. Студент будет подниматься по лестнице к сцене. Как только окажется на сцене, кратковременная пауза он/она будет поклоняться РЕКТОРУ. Затем рукопожатие ректора, а затем ректор вручает ДИПЛОМ, с пожеланиями.
В это время работает 3 фотографов, которые будут снимать фото из разных мест.

11.50 Вручение сувениров
Ведущий церемонии предложит РЕКТОРУ получить сувенир, как благодарность от студентов. Сувенир будут вручать представители от студентов (Ган Бун Чай – Малайзия).

12.00 Фото сессия с высокопоставленными лицами
Ведущий церемонии приглашаем всех студентов выйти на сцену, сфотографироваться с высокопоставленными лицами. Помощник покажет высокопоставленным лицам, где стоять и студенты будут занимать места вокруг высокопоставленных лиц. После этого, все студенты выйдут с обеих сторон сцены и вернуться на свои места.

12.20 Конец ЦЕРЕМОНИИ
После фото сессии будут объявлять отъезд высокопоставленных лиц, помощники покажут VIP персонам как выйти из зала. Все студенты поднимаются в момент выхода VIP персон.
После выхода высокопоставленных лиц из зала, студенты и гости свободно фотографируются.

12.30 Выход из зала
Все студенты и гости освобождают зал. Они могут сделать фото вне зала.

12.40 Последнее Фото
Все студенты соберутся перед зданием Дома учёных и делают последнее фото, бросают головной убор в небо.

Transportation to Dom Ucheni on 30th June 09

If you are staying in the hostel/nearby, we suggest that your guests and you take the transportation (two 59 seaters buses).
This is to ensure that everything is smooth flowing without the hassle of traveling in suits, robes and so on. 30th June is a Tuesday, and 8am metro/bus ride does not sound like a good idea for your guests, especially the more senior ones.

Bus will be arriving at 8am, reach Dom Ucheni at 9am. Bus will be leaving at 1pm and arrive at RSMU at 2pm.

What do you need to do?

Give them the names of your guests.
Pay up to them by 27th June 09. Price is 140ru per seat.

Help in collecting Massad 09 goodies bags

As the title stated, we need your help in collecting the bags! Our target is 150 bags.

This is to minimize unnecessary expenditure. The bags look good, we can save some money for graduation bear (if budget allows) plus we'll automatically be part of the save the green, recycling campaign.

I'm looking for interested volunteers (5 individuals) to handle the goodies bags! Other than collecting the bags, they will also be in charged in buying the food, packing it and distributing on the day of graduation. So guys and girls, it's time to show your worth. Degree Legalization Payment

Last posts, refer here.

Dear friends,
Moslanka will not be handling the second option (which is the apostille). Interested students, you'll have to do it yourself.
However, I have the telephone number of the 'unofficial' runner who can offer a 5 days apostille (10 days in total after MID) for 10500-14000ru. Please note that we will not be handling the apostille option and we should not be held responsible for any unforseen circumstances. If you still insist on doing, I suggest you approach our friends from China and India, because apostillization is compulsory for them.

So for now, like what we agreed on earlier, price is 5000ru, 5 working days and 4 stamps. 1 on diplom, 1 on translated diplom, 1 on mark sheet and the last 1 on the translated mark sheet.
You have to submit in the diplom to us on 30th June 09, right after the ceremony. We will bring your diploms and your money to Moslanka.
Official receipts will be issued by Moslanka on 2nd of July 09.
Diploms will be ready and given back to you on 8th July 09.
5 working days + another day for us to get the last stamp from Malaysian embassy.
JPA students, you guys need to pay us also. Collect the money from Encik Azman with the receipts from Moslanka later.

What do you need to do?
1) Pay up 5000ru to our treasurer, Nadia by 27th June 09. Please pay in 1000/5000ru notes if possible.
2) Give us the diplom and mark sheet, right after the graduation ceremony on 30th June 09.
3) Collect and check the details (correct spelling, 4 stamps) on 8th July 09 from Dom 39, Room 613 (Bala, Yuva or Navin)

Please do the payment ASAP, by 27th June 09!

Graduation Rehearsal

Attention ALL 6th Years International Students!!!

Date: 25th June 09
Time: 10am
Venue: Russian State Medical University, Auditorium No. 2

There will be a rough briefing on the Graduation Day programme. We'll have a rehearsal on the scroll giving ceremony (starting from Red Diplome holders, then alphabetically according to countries and names), so that everyone will be 100% prepared. There will be slideshow (student's biodata) and hippocrate oath recitation practice too.

Returning registration paper

I just asked the lady in Room 8, in dekanat, about the notice regarding us returning the white registration paper. Refer to the picture below, to be sure that we are referring to the same thing.



You have to return it, 2-3 days before your departure from Moscow. They will make a photocopy of it and give the photostated copy with a verification university chop to us. The university will keep the original copy. The notice mentioned that if we fail to give back to the deanery, we might be stopped at the custom in airport.

Edit in italic fonts. Yes, they will keep our original copy. Sorry for the unclear statement and inconvenience.

Submitted in the lists and zayavlenie to both dean and commandant. Will know the result on next Monday.

Hot water will be off for +/- 2 weeks. Should resume by 29th June 09 or earlier.

Obhodnoi List

Remember guys, to get your paper chopped and signed by graduation day. I was told that the University will not release your diplom if you fail to submit it in to Olga.

This is how it should look like. (still missing the last chop from Glavni Bugalter), its on your left side when you enter the university. Working hours from 2-4pm.

1) Give back all your books. Get 2 chops from there. Uchebni and Hudozhestveni. Then proceed 1 floor up to get the Nauchni chop.
2) Next, go to the top floor. For profkom chop, you will need to show your studencheski and your metro pass.
3) Come back to the hostel, 2nd floor, commandant office. After getting the 1st chop, then proceed to Hostel Dom 35, room 214, to get the 2nd chop.
4) Go back to uni. From the main entrance, the accountant room is situated on your left. This is where you get your final chop.
5) Give back to Olga.

Goodluck. Make sure you follow the orders (1 to 5). I suggest you get this done as soon as possible.

Parents interested to visit our University?

Well, read on.

So I suggested to our Dean to create some kind of minitour to the university on the 30th of June 2009, right after the graduation. Time approximately from 3-4pm.
We are still not sure if the university will provide a tourguide (most likely not).

In order for this to happen, we need your name, parents and their passport number. Once we have the list already, I'll then submit it in to the dean. Have to go through dean, rector and ohrana, etc.

Legalization of our Degree (part 4)

Updates on the apostille.
The Apostille itself doesn't have an expiration date, however the requirements vary from country to country. For example, such country as Italy doesn't accept Apostille older than 6 months, France-not older than 3 months, etc.

In short, you have to enquire more information from the country that you would like to work in. Your apostille lasts a lifetime, unless that particular country has special law (time limit) like Italy and France.

We'll know if Moslanka will be helping us to do the apostille when Dr.Saman returns to Moscow. Hopefully I can tell you the answer by 15th of June.

As we all know hostel currently charge 300rub/person/night for gosti,last year they only charge 150rub.Recently ive spoken wth raihan's sister(the iranian lady) and she told me that we might still negotiate for a cheaper price.What we need to do is gathering all the names of our guest and sign somekind of petition.We might get 100rub/person/night discount if we do this,since the guest will be our parents and relatives the hostel might consider it.

How to register your families at University
Today(3/6/200) I went to dekanat to ask the person that incharge our registration every year about possibility to register at University.
If your families are staying in our hostel, its possible.

What we need
1.Your families (to sign some document) - you can bring them to tour our beloved university with new LCD TV,library tunnel etc and new war bust :-P

2.Passport, migration card, visa in passport

3. 1 photostated copy of passport, migration card, visa

4. 2 Photo (can use coloured or black n white),must be matte

5. The "razreshenie" from dean bespaleuk - get this thing before you get no 6. Tell him you want to bring guest into our hostel

6. the "razreshenie" from hostel commandant - show your razreshenie form bespaleuk above to her to get this. Get thi 2 -3days before arrival of your families

-ITS FREE OF CHARGE to register

-She will provide "SPRAVKA" to allow your families to get rid of the police :-P

-Your passport will be returned in 3 working days

*By the way I failed to get razreshenie from bespaleuk today because lot of people want to see him (for dopusk etc)

For those who are interested in doing the visa registration tru us, these are the documents needed:
1) photostated copy of passport (original not needed)
2) photostated copy of immigration card
3) photostated copy of visa

You are requested to submit all these documents with the payment(600 rub) for each on the 28th of June to anyone from room-6-10. As stated before, the process would take 1day and the document of registration will be handed to you on 30th June.

If you are interested, please inform Fu Mei Sian tru YM stating the no of people and date of arrival by 3rd June.

As for special cases,
1) arriving on the 29th,
2) leaving Moscow on the 30th,
please inform Mei Sian that as well in order special arrangements could be made.

Legalization of our Degree (part 3)

Good news:
1) You'll be able to choose between option A and B until the day you submit in your diplom and kvitansiya.
2) Option A is confirmed, fixed at 5000ru, guaranteed to be done in 5 working days.
3) Moslanka will send our degree to the embassy, to get the final verification and stamp. We just need to collect it from the embassy, on the same day.

Bad news:
1) Option B MIGHT NOT BE AVAILABLE and price is not fixed at the moment.
2) Dr. Saman is currently outstation. He'll be back in office on 13th of June 09. So until his return to the office, Farid is unable to confirm if Moslanka will be doing the apostille for us.
3) For those who really want/need to do the apostille, I advise you to start searching for different alternatives, as we all know, in Russia, it is ALWAYS better to have backup plan.

What do I need to do?
Around 20+ June 09, Moslanka will issue us a kvitansiya. We'll collect it and post up the completed sample on this blog. You fill in exactly, pay 5000ru to sberbank and return us the kvitansiya.
On the 30th of June 09, you will pass your diplom and kvitansiya to us.
On the 1st July 09, we'll deliver them to Moslanka to be processed.
If everything goes well, we should receive back our diplom from Malaysian embassy on 7th July 09.

***So for now, everything will remain exactly the same like here, until Moslanka cancels the option B.***

Legalization of our Degree (Part 2)

From the Part 1, there are 2 packages. But I'll only be doing the one through Moslanka. I can do both option 1 (without apostille) and option 2 (with apostille). It's hassle free, it's quick (5 working days for option 1, 10 working days for option 2), all done on ORIGINAL copies and if anything happens, we all know that Moslanka is still in Frunzen.

So in conclusion:
From Lingoservice agent: Not worth it, dangerous because most agents can only do on copies. On original copies should be more expensive and we won't be responsible if anything happens. We are not going to handle this one. It's up to you.
Without apostille = 7000ru in 5 working days, on notarized copies. Total = 7000ru.
With apostille = 7000ru+5800ru in a total of 10 working days, on notarized copies. Total = 12800ru

From Moslanka:
Without apostille: 5000ru in 5 working days, on original copies. Total = 5000ru.
With apostille: 5000ru+7-8000ru in a total of 10 working days, on original copies. Total = 12-13000ru
*please note that 7-8000ru is just an estimate I get from him, he can only confirm the price in few weeks time.*

All students inclusive of the govt. sponsored students will have to fork out 5000ru for the service.
Govt. students can claim 5000ru later from the embassy (receipt from Moslanka will be given).
About the compensation/claim from embassy, so far JPA confirm will get back the money. For MARA students, it's still not sure.
Fees will only be paid through bank (so any 'setting up', undertable/coffee money will be minimized).

What do I need to do?
- YM me! I need your confirmation PERSONALLY.
- Give me your full name and the option of choice (either with or without apostille)
- Money will be collected later, I'll keep you posted about this
I need all your names ASAP, preferably by tonight. I'll send in the list BY Thursday morning. Latecomers will not be entertained. I won't include your name if I don't get a personal confirmation. So please reply me through YM.

p.s. please let all your friends know about this. I've asked around for some legal advices (lawyers, MOH, MMC). Lawyers don't know what is apostille. MOH, MMC don't reply our emails. You can check back the 1st part of legalization, only some info from a not so accurate source (Farid).

I've spoken to the president about this, and was told that their university will be doing the translation for them. The last day of their exam is on 11th of June 2009. Their dekanat will then proceed to prepare the diplom. The MID chop that the dekanat opted for, needs 14 days to be cleared.
Anyway, we'll get to the bottom of this, to find out why and how can they get such cheap rates. For the mean time, please still submit in your names and options, as anyhow I still need to know who is opting for what.

Therapy Stol Update 1

Visited Boris Aleksandrovich Danyak earlier today. Was told that nobody approached him yet about the stol. Therapy department didn't request for stol, yet. No such thing as printer for the dekanat.

He was shocked when I told him that our stol is 1000ru. He'll call me when he has more info on this. Right now, I'll be getting the list of things to prepare for stol from Teplova 1st.

Until further confirmation from the Dean office, do not part with your money.

Graduation Date is Confirmed

I just got back from Moslanka. And I've good news!

Sergeev already booked Dom Ucheni, finally.
Was given 100% assurance but still...

Booking is on 30th June 2009, from 9am to 3pm. Registration is from 9am to 10am. Program starts at 10am, ends at 3pm. So there'll be slight alteration to our current tentative program.

Banner, backdrop, simple decoration and some refreshments for VIP will be provided. Translator for speeches (Russian to English and vice versa) might be provided, but most likely we'll have to find our own. Extra bouquet, deco and refreshments for parents are on us and we'll be renting video camera and projector from Christian Fellowship for a nominal fee.

Legalization of our Degree (Part 1)

After running around for many days now, we've concluded that Moslanka might not be the most economical way to get our degree legalized but at least it is indeed the safest and hassle free option we've got. We are still searching around for better deals, but after going through the price list of few agencies, we noticed that the pricing, the duration and the services vary widely (getting the seal on original copy of degree/photostated copies, getting both MID and apostille/getting only MID or apostille, etc.)

Basically, these are the best deals that we've got right now.

Both option A&B are done on the original and translated/notarized copies.

Apostille on notarized: price 4000-5000ru, in 5 working days not inclusive of translation and MID, so a total of 10 working days.
Apostille on original: price 4000-5000ru if you want the apostille to be done in 30days. If you want it in 5 days, you have to prepare 7000-8000ru. So a total of 10 working days.


Option A is enough for us to apply and practice medicine in Malaysia. However, if you wish to get into other international universities or to work in another country out of Russia, then you will need the apostille.
If we agree on option A, we'll be submitting our degree to Moslanka on the evening of 30th June 2009 or 1st July 2009 morning by 2pm. Our degree should be given back to us on the evening of 8th July 2009. Then we'll proceed to the embassy to get some other paperwork done, including a stamp on our degree, to verify that our degree is original.
So for option A, we'll be getting a total of 4 stamps (1 on the degree, 1 on the notarized and translated copy of the degree, 1 on the mark sheet, 1 on the notarized and translated mark sheet). If everything goes well, as planned, everything should be done by 9th of July 2009.

For option B, we're still working on the details about apostille. Moslanka will be updating us the price in few days time. We'll be checking out with the Health Ministry in Malaysia, MMC and some lawyer firms back in Malaysia about the validity and recognition.

I'll be calling a meeting for private and MARA students as soon as I have all the necessary details from Moslanka and other agencies in Konkovo and Yugo. Then you'll have to choose if you want to do it through us or yourself.

Attention to those who did their invitation letter through Fu Mei Sian, the intel service give us discount price at 15 USD (525 rubles) per each person. Please come to room 610 at 8 pm to collect back the extra money you have paid.
Regarding the invitation letter, you should receive the invitation letter via your email by this Wednesday.If you do not receive the letter, please let us know. After you get your invitation letter, please double check the details and make sure there is no mistake. So, don't forget to check your email these few days. MASSAD 2009 and Robes Collection

This year MASSAD will be held in Radisson Hotel on the 2nd of May 2009. Price ticket will be around 350-370 rubles. The 2nd year juniors are really sincere in inviting us, so I hope all of you will cooperate and attend it. It's gonna be our last formal gettogether dinner, so don't miss it!

According to the juniors, this year's MASSAD is more focused on the graduation theme, as there will be a pre-graduation like ceremony for each of us. Instead of giving out scrolls, they plan to give us some kind of souvenirs (certs, token, etc).

Thirdly, they are making a booklet for MASSAD. There will designated pages for our group pictures. So group leaders, kindly select the best photo for your group and submit it to me ASAP.

Lastly, please collect your robes! Not many have collected their robes yet. There'll be photoshoot session soon for our profile photo in the yearbook, so please collect your robes now. You might need to do some alteration if it doesnt fit you well.

Finalizing some details in your diplom


The names (both in Russian and English), you write the way you want them to appear in your diplom. Like mine, I m tired of Ган Бун Чие already.

No. of SPM certificate, you can find it on your SPM cert, on the bottom left corner, the fonts, they are in red. Something like AA, followed by a series of numbers.

The last line, leave it blank if you complete your studies in RSMU from 1st-6th year.

Remember to bring your zachut book along. I hope that you guys do this ASAP, so that you can further correct any mistake (typo, grades, details) that may arise later.

Yearbook 11000ru and Photoshoot Update

So we have decided not to pay the extra 11000ru for the designing job. The Publication Team welcomes a new member, Siti Anis Bt. Zamrah, as the head designer for our yearbook.

The photoshoot for your profile picture in the yearbook will be either on the 11th or 18th of April 2009. The reason for the 3 weeks period from now is so that everyone can get in their best shape. :)

Air Ticket Reminder

The invitation team has decided to apply the invitation for all our parents on the 11th of April 2009, as there are some details that need to be filled in, eg. date of arrival and departure and place of stay.

So kindly book your air ticket by the 10th of April 2009.

And about the date, it's still not fixed. Dr. Saman is outstation at the moment and he'll only be back around mid April to meet with our Uni Representative. So until both parties meet and come out with a final date, we can only speculate and wait, probably pray that the initial date won't change.

Yearbook Payment and Venue Updates

Gerard has spoken to the publisher, price is confirmed at 1060ru. However, expect around 100ru plus minus to that figure, depending on number of pages, color and quality of the paper.
Nadia will be collecting the full amount of 1060ru from you by this coming Sunday, 1st of March 2009.

It's now confirmed that the graduation hall, some decorations, inclusive of the lighting, projector, sound system, reception of the VIPs and invitation of Ambassadors from several countries will be taken care by MosLanka. Everything will be fully paid. However, a little bit of touch up like banners, balloons, ribbons, flowers and refreshment/food for parents will be on our account.

He'll be meeting up with the university reps, namely the Rector and Dean somewhere around next week to reconfirm the date before proceeding with the booking. However, he assured that if the Dean agrees to hold the graduation on the 30th June 09 (he did agree in our case), then he'll make sure that our graduation will be ON no matter what, on the above mentioned date. Tentative venue:
1) Dom Ucheni like last year or 2) РОССИЙСКАЯ АКАДЕМИЯ НАУК, in leninski prospekt.

Things to be done: requested by Dr. Saman
1) A full list of graduating students and their nationalities (so that he knows which ambassador to invite)
2) A tentative program for the day (will be taken care by Ponni)
3) A joint committee with other representatives from other countries
4) Accommodation for parents. Namelist of parents who are coming to Moscow that want to stay in our hostel. Price is 300-400ru. He can arrange for our parents to stay in another so called apartment 3 stars standard. Details minimal, but he promised that price is cheap. Not so sure about that yet.

And by the way, Dr. Saman will not be in Moscow starting around next weekend to mid April, so if you have any important question or suggestion, please do it now!

CNY makan-makan session for ALL Malaysian 6th year students

The Yearbook Poll

1.Year Book :
Gerrard explained that publishing the year book in Malaysia is expensive, so the committee decided to publish it in Moscow. The Team came up with two different designs. The first design is cheaper which will cost 660 rub and the other one is 1060 rub. Voting pole will be put to decide which design to choose.

2.Multimedia:
The multimedia team will get the equipments for their presentation from the Christian Fellowship. Ray Yank requested all the students to submit more videos and photos. Sze Woon who is in charge of photography will inform the date and place for the photography session as soon as possible.

3.Robes:
All the 6th year students need to pay 500 rub down payment for the robes by 25th February to Nadia. The date to take measurements will be informed soon.

4.Visa, Ticket and Accommodation.
Fu Mei Sian explained that Singapore Airlines only requires minimum purchase of 2 tickets to attain the price of RM3680 excluding visa. The team will find more informations about the visa and will update in our blog.Students who are interested with Janet’s suggestion,need to give their names to Janet or Mei Sian before 25th feb and need to pay RM 500 as deposit to book the seats. For now the suggested date for booking is 28 th June 2009.

CONCLUSIONS: To avoid problems, students are requested to book the air tickets for their parents on 27th or 28th of June 2009
